![]() Channel Stock Upgrade Campaign Client: The Client is a publicly traded company who is the leading supplier of imaging, speech and language solutions that are used to automate a wide range of manual processes. Client Needs: The Client was releasing a new version for one of their products and they required a proper management of the distribution channel to ensure that all existing stock was tracked so that they can be cleared via a free upgrade path. The objectives of this campaign was to: 1. Track all existing stock of the product within the channel nationwide 2. Produce and allocate upgrade stickers to the channel 3. Ensure all stock has been updated for an upgrade 4. Manage & fulfil all free upgrade requests Solution: Knowing that tracking stock within the channel was not going to be a small task, SGS provided telephone support as well as on-site merchandising support. Stock was accounted from the channel nationwide before "free upgrade" stickers were designed, printed and distributed. All resellers who had stock were followed up by phone and by an on-site merchandiser who ensured that the stickers were affixed and that in-store sales staff was aware of the free upgrade path. A campaign website was set up to provide customers with information and to download a free upgrade request form. All requests were processed by SGS, which also included verification of proof of purchase. Fulfilment services were also supplied by SGS. Results: SGS was literally a "one-stop" service centre for our client. All stock was accounted for, the upgrade path was well promoted and the fuss-free upgrade application and process meant less hassle both for our client as well as their customers. |
