SGS Develops Fully Automated Billing System for ISP Service
Client:
The Client was a Telstra premium retailer for mobile phones and accessories in Australia.

Project Overview:
The Client was expanding its business to include an ISP (Internet Service Provider) service. They have appointed SGS to provide customer care services to their customers.

As part of this service, SGS also bills the client's customers on their behalf for their internet fees. SGS has set up a fully automated and secure process of billing the client’s customers and collecting payment.

Project Details:
· Synchronised SGS's customer care SQL database with the client's ISP registration Oracle database so that all updating of customer details will be done simultaneously at the time of registration
· Each month, automated billing system sends all users' payment details to the client's bank
· The client's bank processes payments and sends back payment confirmation details to SGS's server
· Details are then automatically uploaded into our Customer Care System
· Our server sends a confirmation of payment email to each user
· All these transactions are completed within four hours
· If the client's bank is unable to process a users payment for whatever reason, our server sends notification to the user(s), advising them that payment will be reprocessed and disconnection will take place if there are insufficient funds.

All historical payment information is stored in each user's record within our Customer Care System.
