![]() Product Upgrade Program Client: The Client is a Canadian software company manufacturing photo editing, video editing, and web publishing software. Project Overview: The Client wanted to inform their users of product upgrades as soon as the latest versions have been released, as well as offer these users the opportunity to purchase the upgrades. Challenge: For an overseas company a relationship with local customers is often difficult to maintain. International software companies often lose touch with their end users, and it becomes difficult to notify customers of upgrades. Solution: SGS was appointed as the client's customer care centre for Australia and New Zealand in 1996. We implemented the client's software upgrade program in 1999. Our Marketing Services group developed an upgrade web site for MGI with an online payment service. Then using our CRM database we emailed all users the relevant upgrade and crossgrade information and our Call Centre was available to provide product information and process sales orders. Project Details: · Design and build product information web site for upgrades · Send personalised email to the client’s users in the database, informing them of the upgrades and directing them to the web site · Web site incorporates an online ordering facility and enables online payment as well · Implement upgrades for existing users · Manage the upgrade inventory in our warehouse · Provide customer care services, including technical support. |
